Who will wash his face??

I read this from [i]The Zahir[/i] by Paulo Coelho. Thought this is kind of meaningful. <br/><br/>Suppose
there were two firemen who went into a forest to put off a fire.
Afterwards, one of them had pretty dirty face while the other had clean

But according to his answer, there should be no particular answer about who will do what, because either one has a good enough reason to wash / not wash his face. <br/><br/><br/>To Hannah: ... <p>for the first time, the clean one. coz they saw each other. </p><p>sencond time (if there IS a second time), the dirty one. coz they realized something. </p><p>third time...</p><p>hey~ is it possible that one of them had pretty dirty face while the other had clean face? If so, the clean one must be derelict! </p>

not sure if u took the phrase "wash his face" as another meaning, if so, that should be the clean one.
