Microwave is just a traveling wave of the oscillating electrical field.
微波炉产生的微波其实就是功率很强的电磁波,即是一种传输的振荡电场。
If the molecules in the materials (it’’s water for food most of the time) has some polarization produced by the negtive and positive charges which are not overlaping completely.
如果材料的分子内正负电荷的分布不是完全重合,也就是分子是有极性的,(比如食物里主要就是水分子)
Then the positive and negtive charges will oscillate driven by the electrical force and get more and more energy from the electrical field (microwave). Then the material will be heated up.
那么正负电荷就会分别在振荡电场力的驱动下越振越快(类似受迫振荡),即从电场获得能量,从而温度升高。
That’’s also a reason why we can’’t use common glass to hold the food when it’’s baking since it may contain some materials which have polarized molecules.
这也是为什么不能用普通玻璃装食物,因为玻璃里可能含有带极化分子的杂质。
