There are nine letters in the base word. And each time you remove a letter, the remaining still form a word.

YES! The other way round, like this. But I suppose you would think of the words starting with one letter. [em01][em01]

Anyway, this one doesn't limit you to remove a letter from the either ends of the word, so it's different but similar to the one posted by sinaian.
